    About the Author:
    Qian Xingjian (1935–) is currently a member of the China Artists Association and Shanghai Artists Association, associate professor of art at Shanghai International Studies University, distinguished visiting painter at the Shanghai Institute of Calligraphy and Painting, and vice-president of the Shanghai Huangpu Art Institute.
