SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Seeking a full-time Systems Administrator to join our growing team in the North Clarendon, Vermont office.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and sustain custom SQL reporting
  • Manage and maintain IT systems (hardware and software)
  • Maintain/Upgrade Sage 300 ERP software
  • Import/export data from distribution partners and customers
  • Propose and implement upgrades to software and hardware to stay current
  • Provide timely support to maintain productivity
  • Send weekly worldwide metadata feeds of title information
  • Install, configure and maintain network and user hardware/software
  • Ensure data storage is safe and secure

 Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience with SQL and other relational databases
  • A working understanding or prior experience with Crystal Reports
  • Working knowledge of networking, security, internet, intranet systems
  • Strong organized workflow, project and time management skills, good communication skills
  • Server and firewall network management

 Helpful but not Required:

  • Knowledge of Mac operating systems

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

We are seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative (32 hours per week) to join our publishing team in our North Clarendon, Vermont office. The schedule for this position would be an 8-hour day Monday, Wednesday and Friday and a 8-hour day on either Tuesday or Thursday.

Responsibilities:

  • Process various orders (website, exam copies, publicity, author, show events, etc)
  • Process credit card payments
  • Process backorder releases
  • Upload orders to Ingram system (i-page)
  • Pick, pack and ship books and sales materials
  • Monitor Customer Service e-mail and voicemail
  • Perform special projects for Sales and Publicity as needed
  • Maintain daily shipment log
  • Scan advances and library archives
  • Receive and distribute internal mail
  • Answer phone calls 

Skills & Experience:

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to occasionally lift boxes up to 40 pounds
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Word

MARKETING & PUBLICITY MANAGER

Tuttle Publishing is looking for a Marketing & Publicity Manager for our Asian focused library of titles. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast paced, creative environment with the ability to develop and implement strategic and creative campaigns for fiction and non-fiction titles for adults and children. This role will work closely with the Sales Team to implement marketing and publicity strategies for frontlist and backlist titles. 

Specifics include:

  • Develop & execute impactful & actionable pre-release marketing and media strategies for new releases.
  • Work closely with the in-house Graphic Designer to develop all catalog and sales collateral, including sell sheets, ads and web banners, ensuring all materials support sales objectives and are produced to meet key sales timelines as part of overall new title and backlist campaigns.
  • Work closely with the in-house sales team to develop monthly marketing, PR and online campaign calendars with key deadlines for content delivery, review, and proofing.
  • Engage and inspire authors’ involvement to launch new titles while leveraging their credentials. Handle all author events at trade shows, bookstores and other venues.
  • Oversee management of trade show marketing and logistics, provide sales management with booth and promotional plans including author signings, advertising, and booth collateral.
  • As an active member of the Sales and Marketing Team, you will bring your marketing perspective to new book proposals, provide an initial assessment of potential market size and reachability.
  • Target new online audience through all social media outlets. Track new outreach and contacts, identify conversion opportunities and build customer profiles as Tuttle continues to grow its public presence.
  • Create, deliver and review monthly reports and metrics for the sales team to review.
  • Organize and track creative consumer events with booksellers, libraries, schools, authors, Comic Cons and Matsuri festivals both online and offline.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of publishing experience in Marketing or PR with working knowledge of Social Media campaigns
  • If outside the immediate area, a willingness to travel to Vermont office, one week each month to collaborate with sales and marketing staff
  • Ability to work weekends at Comic Con and Matsuri events
