Tuttle Publishing is one of the nation’s oldest and most successful independent publishers (founded in 1832) and a leading producer of quality books on Asia for over 70 years. This newly-created position is part of an organic expansion of our in-house sales and marketing team (currently 7 people).

We are seeking an active and enthusiastic full-time book sales manager to be based in our Central Vermont office working collaboratively with the other members of our publishing team (currently 20 strong). This multi-faceted job involves:

  • Work closely with our Managing Director and Senior Sales Manager to improve sales to key accounts, create and manage new sales initiatives and outreach to existing and new customers
  • Present new titles and coordinate with our marketing team to prepare presentations
  • Attending consumer and trade shows including ALA, ComiCon’s, Matsuri Festivals and other events
  • Analyze individual customer data in detail to identify opportunities for additional sales
  • Maintain and strengthen communications with wholesalers, retailers and field reps


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Several years of book sales experience with a proven track record of success
  • Computer skills including Excel
  • Communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to prioritize workload and time management
  • Proactive self-starter who works well independently yet flourishes in a collaborative environment
  • Flexibility in daily/monthly tasks
  • Must relocate before start date

Seeking a full-time Systems Administrator to join our growing team in the North Clarendon, Vermont office.


  • Create and sustain custom SQL reporting
  • Manage and maintain IT systems (hardware and software)
  • Maintain/Upgrade Sage 300 ERP software
  • Import/export data from distribution partners and customers
  • Propose and implement upgrades to software and hardware to stay current
  • Provide timely support to maintain productivity
  • Send weekly worldwide metadata feeds of title information
  • Install, configure and maintain network and user hardware/software
  • Ensure data storage is safe and secure


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience with SQL and other relational databases
  • A working understanding or prior experience with Crystal Reports
  • Working knowledge of networking, security, internet, intranet systems
  • Strong organized workflow, project and time management skills, good communication skills
  • Server and firewall network management


Helpful but not Required:

  • Knowledge of Mac operating systems
