About the Author:
Boye Lafayette De Mente was involved with Japan, China, and Korea as a member of a US intelligence agency, student, trade journalist, editor, and author working out of Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong and Singapore. He graduated from Jochi University in Tokyo and The American Institute for Foreign Trade (now Thunderbird School of Global Management). His 70-plus books include Instant Korean, Instant Chinese, Survival Chinese, Survival Japanese, Asian Face Reading, Kata and Korean Business Etiquette.

Yeon-Jeong Kim has taught Korean language at the University of Sheffield since 2014. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Intercultural Communication from the University of Sheffield. She is coauthor of Korean Folktales for Language Learners (Tuttle, 2022).
