Tuttle Publishing, founded in 1948, is the leading international publisher of high-quality books about Asia, based in North Clarendon, VT. We are seeking a creative, energetic and enthusiastic candidate to join our Data Entry/Customer Service Department.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Data Entry; Clerical Duties; Servicing inbound inquiries from customers via phone and email; Shipping and Receiving.

The successful candidate should possess the ability to enter detailed order data with speed and accuracy, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to occasionally lift/stack boxes up to 40 pounds.  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.

Tuttle Publishing is a leading publisher of books about Asia. The company was founded in 1948 in Tokyo, Japan and now has offices in Tokyo, Jakarta, Singapore and North Clarendon (Vermont). We are looking for a paid intern position for our North Clarendon, Vermont office.  This position would run from May through August of this year (we can be flexible) with hours ranging from 15-20 hours per week.

Tuttle is a market leader in book categories ranging from Asian arts and crafts to language learning (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Tagalog, Hindi and others), martial arts, origami, architecture, design, gardening, travel, Asian literature, cooking, history and multi-cultural Asian children's books. We specialize in highly informative books—many of them beautifully illustrated—which help promote a greater understanding of Asia. We have an extensive backlist and publish approximately 150 new titles each year working with authors, photographers, illustrators and designers around the world.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Direct to consumer sales and marketing including Ecommerce Marketing, Online Media, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).

Improve product content photos to increase online visibility and awareness.

Social media outreach.

Identify and reach out to new blogs, magazines and book reviewers through online research.

Strong personal time management, communication and organizational skills are important.
