Multicultural Children’s Book Day: 5 Books to Expand Your Library

Multicultural Children’s Book Day is celebrated annually on the last Friday of January. In 2012, Valarie Budayr and Mia Wenjen created the holiday with the goal of highlighting diversity in children’s literature. As the founders put it, their aim was “not only to raise awareness for the kid’s books that celebrate diversity but to get more of these types of books into classrooms and libraries.”

With that in mind, here are five books from Tuttle to get your Multicultural Children’s Book Day off to a great start.
